To specify and develop a prototype board and screen game that teaches permaculture design through role playing (problem-based constructivist learning). The prototype will be in English, Bulgarian and Dutch. Other translations are welcome.
In a imaginary/virtual world players will encounter situations that invite creative solutions to permaculture design challenges. Points are scored on the basis of the quality of the design and the development of ethics. The game can be played as a board game and as a screen game on different operating systems (Open Source: Linux and Android; Propriety: Windows, Mac OSX and iOS). The game rules conform to Dungeon & Dragons Pathfinder Open Gaming License. For the screen version we are considering Neverwinter Nights (Aurora engine) and the Open Source version of Ryzom (NeL engine).
